General Secretary of Raffdi AL Iraq AL gaded Foundation. He holds a master's degree in oil economics, also working as a researcher in the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO). He served as the president of the Iraqi Alliance for Transparency in Extractive Industries from 2012-2019, and a member of the International Steering Committee of the “Publish What You Pay” representative from the Middle East and North Africa from 2012-2014.
He wrote two books on the oil industry and oil contracts in Iraq and published many research and articles in international and local magazines and websites on the oil sector, oil contracts, and global oil markets.
He previously served as the head of the Municipal Council in the city of Za`faraniya—Baghdad from 2003 to 2008.
