An Investigative journalist, he serves as the General Coordinator of the Volunteer Lawyers Network for the Defense of Freedom of Expression in Iraq. He also holds the position of Director of Relations at "NIRIJ," the Iraqi Investigative Journalism Network, which was founded in 2011.
He obtained a master's degree in law in 2022 and has written and published numerous journalistic pieces in both international and local newspapers, including the London-based *Al-Hayat* newspaper and *Daraj* website. In 2013, he won first place in the *ARIJ* Award for Best Investigative Report, jointly with a colleague, for their report titled *"Children of Al-Qaeda Fighters: Identity-less Victims Who Threaten the Emergence of a New Generation of Extremists."* The investigation documented the legal and social challenges faced by the children of militants killed in clashes with authorities.
