Head of the Research Department at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) and Editor-In-Chief of "Siyasat Arabia" (Arab Politics). He holds a PhD in Linguistics from Al-Mustansiriyah University (2001). He worked in several research centers in Baghdad, Amman, and Beirut. He contributed to writing and editing the "National Report on the State of Human Development in Iraq" for 2008 and 2014. He contributed three chapters to the book "The Islamic State (ISIS)," published by the Arab Center (2018). He managed a research team that completed a study on "Islamic Civil Society in Iraq" (2010). He is the author of: "Arab Shiites: Identity and Citizenship" (editor, 2019), "The Politics of the Symbol: The End of Nation-State Culture in Iraq (2009), The Status of Social Sciences in Iraqi Universities (research team, 2008), and Literature and the Representation of the World (2002).
