An Iraqi director, novelist, and television presenter, holding a PhD in Cinema from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad. He served as the Director of Al-Iraqiya General Channel from 2007 to 2009 and currently heads the cultural department at the Iraqi Media Network. He won the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity for his novel The Dance of the Slaughtered Bird in 2001 and has published several works, including a poetry collection titled Streets Too Narrow for My Shouts (2009), The Semiotics of Cinematic Imagery (2016), and The Pragmatics of Film Dialogue (2022).
