An Iraqi journalist, founder, and director of the Iraqi Observatory for Human Rights. He has been working in journalism since 2008, focusing on politics, human rights, and society. He is also a correspondent for "Russia Today" in Baghdad and has written for various media outlets, including "The Monitor", "Amwaj Media", "Raseef22", "Al Jazeera Net", and "Ultra Iraq".
In 2014, he founded the Iraqi Observatory for Human Rights, an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to monitoring and documenting human rights violations in Iraq, as well as training volunteers in human rights advocacy and combating misinformation.
He also launched the "Bahoush" campaign, which aims to verify circulated information and combat misleading news. Mustafa Saadoun has received several honorary awards for his contributions to human rights and investigative journalism.
