She is the Regional Director of the "Article 19" organization office for the Middle East and North Africa. She holds a master’s degree in Media and Communication from the Institute of Journalism and Information Science in Tunisia. With over 15 years of experience working with NGOs and multilateral bodies, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Tunisia and the Arab Women’s Center for Training and Research (CAWTAR), she is also a certified facilitator for the BRIDGE program (Building Resources in Democracy, Governance, and Elections).
Throughout her career, Al-Ghizwani has focused on issues related to freedom of expression and human rights. She has expressed concerns about the deterioration of press and expression freedom in Tunisia, noting negative indicators in this area, particularly with regard to judicial prosecutions based on Decree 54. She also emphasized the need to protect journalists in conflict zones, highlighting the risks they face while covering events. Additionally, she called for the establishment of dialogue mechanisms among various stakeholders to protect freedom of expression and the media amid the digital transformation.
